Second Live Coding meeting organized by TOPLAP Barcelona. It will take place from February 13 to 16, 2020 at the Hangar art research center (hangar.org). This time we will have workshops organized by members of the community, in addition to live coding performances.

This meeting is an invitation to learn about this practice, participate and exchange experiences with the community of Barcelona.

Marathon From Scratch

The technique from scratch consists of playing live for 9 minutes starting with an empty screen, making transparent the tools (classes, functions, data structures, etc.) that allow the livecoder to carry out the different musical tasks within the performance.

Sound Synthesis & patterns workshop by Roger Pibernat

We will explain various synthesis techniques to create a patch in Supercollider and how to play it live using patterns in Tidal.

Calçotada Web Audio with Alfonso Pardo

We’ll talk a bit about Web Audio technology and introduce some related instruments, then we’ll make some music with them while having vermut and calçots.
We’ll also burn anything you bring! Not the laptops! that you can also bring.

Workshop of visuals with live coding by Citlali Hernandez

Hydra is a language of live coding to make visuals, inspired by modular synthesizers. This tool is an exploration on the use of streaming through the web to route sources and outputs in real time. https://hydra-editor-v1.glitch.me/

Algoraves are events where music generated with algorithms is danced, including the practice of live coding, as well as other approaches to control and perform generative music.
